The ball of string is something most development education practitioners will be familiar with.
It is a classic methodology, used as an entry level mapping tool for engaging with a group, and visually exploring global connections, while physically creating a ‘web’, connecting each person or issue in the group.
In this context, the ball of string is also a visual representation of the interactive methodologies used in development education, a fundamental element of this work.
