These fittings from the Greenpeace boat, the Rainbow Warrior, were taken off the vessel as it was being prepared to be sunk to serve biodiversity as an artificial reef.

The bombing operation by the “action” branch of the French foreign intelligence services on 10 July 1985 at the Port of Auckland in New Zealand caused so much damage the vessel was irreparable.

At that time the Rainbow Warrior was on its way to a protest against a planned French nuclear test in Moruroa.
