The unit’s objectives include:
Unit Objectives:
- Understand what international inequalities are and how they affect people’s lives.
- Recognize the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of inequality.
- Explore how global inequalities contribute to current global issues (e.g., migration, climate change, hunger).
- Develop empathy and critical thinking about global fairness and justice.
- Encourage informed and responsible global citizenship.
Based on 11 key activities (with teacher sheets, worksheets and resource sheets), this unit also covers topics such as the Human Development Index, analysis and activities on data-related SDG dashboards, Fairtrade, campaigns for equality, universal healthcare and climate justice.
