The resource is made up of three core sections: Finding an Issue, Planning Your Action Project and Reflection.

Information that can be used to help students prepare for the ‘Report on an Action Project’ (RAP) has been highlighted in worksheets throughout the resource.

The A is for Action resource aims to:

  • Inspire and empower students to take action on human rights issues that matter to them through exploring the links between human rights and the world we live in, and reflecting on the stories and experiences of youth activists;
  • Encourage students to develop a successful and meaningful action project that they feel passionate about;
  • Enable students to assess and reflect on their action project including their own role and the role of their classmates.

Suggested Use

The resource is deigned to help teachers and students with the planning and implementation of human rights action project. The resource could also be used for planning class awareness or activism campaigns.
