Resource Details

Description

Each resource in this collection is accompanied by a brief summary and teaching notes. The resources are in a variety of formats, such as explainer/broader context articles, short videos, podcasts, documentaries, graphs and maps, migrant stories, as well as non-migrant impact stories. They also often amplify migrant voices. There are also teacher learning resources such as Human Rights Watch reports and documentaries which can assist educators in their own understanding of the crisis.

Following the resources, there are a series of reflection questions which can guide class work or classroom discussion as well as two activities;

1. Predicting policy impacts on the Darién Gap Crisis and

2. Brainstorming and assessing recommendations to address the crisis.
