Summary

This book is a love story told amid the backdrop of the world’s largest genocide in recent times. The Rwandan genocide took place over 100 days in 1994, leaving 800,000 people dead. Most of the dead were Tutsis and most of those who carried out the violence were Hutus. The government-led genocide was sparked off by the death of the Rwandan President Juvenal Habyarimana, a Hutu, when his plane was shot down.
