Description

Oil has been discovered. A multinational corporation working with a local oil company
intends to drill for oil in three provinces… The development of the oil and gas industry could have negative economic, social, cultural and environmental impacts on communities; especially given that the majority of people depend on the land for their livelihood.’

This game, instructions and additional activities are available in English and Gaeilge, along with a game instructions video. Educators are recommended to use the accompanying video ‘Black Gold: Who benefits from Kenya’s oil?’ to help teach about the issues related to the game.
