After the civil war in Zimbabwe in 1981 the family moved to Malawi, then to Zambia. Set in Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique, Scribbling The Cat has been described as a sharply observed account of life in southern Africa today and also a universal insight into the story of war and its heartbreak. Her latest book is set in the US where she now lives. A true story The Legend of Colton H. Bryant, is about a Wyoming kid who died in an oil-field accident.
