developmenteducation.ie is inviting submissions of pitches and commissions from writers on a rolling basis.

developmenteducation.ie is an online space which publishes magazine style features, education support materials and covers topics ranging from climate justice to gender equality, from human rights to unsustainable development, trade deals to technology. We offer perspectives on the biggest issues facing the world today for teachers and educators in formal and non-formal settings.

Are you a journalist or education practitioner with experience in writing concise, clear stories for educational contexts, in the classroom and/or beyond? Do you read developmenteducation.ie and think you could contribute a high quality article or instruction materials along similar themes and from an internationalist perspective? Do you produce written or multimedia materials (video, audio, photos)?

If so, we’d like to hear from you.

We regularly commission pieces and circulate bi-monthly call-outs for pitches from freelancers and education practitioners. We are welcoming expressions of interest to join our roster of contributors, and developmenteducation.ie recognises the value of diverse perspectives and the creation of inclusive work cultures. We especially encourage applications from minority groups.
